The process of data tape shredding:

• Collection

  We will collect your unwanted computer equipment from your business or storage room. Unless you are wanting Coast2Coast to service you at your location.

• Inventory (optional)
  

  It is recommended that the volser number from data tapes be inventoried before destruction takes place.

• Shredding of data tapes
  

  All media such as data tapes, round reels & cellphones are all processed through the shredder.

• Issue of certificate
  

  You will be issued with a certificate of destruction as well as a list of your inventory.

• Incineration

  Once all media has been shredded, the process of incineration will start. The process of incineration involves converting the shredded material into energy which can then be put into the electrical grid. Incineration is the only process that allows up to dispose of the material in a green way.
